June 2007

My prospects are usually not around during the summer months, why should I continue my outsourced calling during this time?

Don’t stop it, redirect it. If the prospects are truly not in the office during the summer months it is a great time to scrub and expand your prospect list, identify decision makers and talk to lower-level decision influencers to find out what issues they are experiencing.

Use this information to develop a more targeted direct marketing program to launch at the end of the summer and don’t allow your pipeline to dry up.

What you may actually find is that your decision makers are in the office, but their Administrative Assistants are not. The “Gate Keepers” are out and you can finally get through to your prospects.

If you don’t keep marketing through the summer, you won’t have anything to start with in the fall.  Keep filling that pipeline.
